Can’t eat another tub of French Onion dip or queso dip that pops up at every party? Why not combine bacon, cheeses, (and some veggies for good measure) and eat a REAL dip. This is a perfect appetizer for a casual dinner party or serve at home while you watch the game. Best of all, it is easy.
Makes 2 quarts
2qt Baking Dish
1 1/2 lb. Bacon
2 cup Mozzarella
1 cup Cheddar Cheese
16oz. Cream Cheese
1/2 cup Sour Cream
1/4 cup Mayonnaise
1/2t Italian Seasoning
2 Garlic Cloves
1t Brown Mustard
1/2 head Lettuce
Pepper & Salt
Preheat oven to 350.
Spray a 2qt baking dish with cooking spray.
Fully cook bacon, drain and crumble. Separating 1/2lb. for the topping.
Shred mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
Soften cream cheese so it is workable.
Seed and dice tomato.
In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients (minus tomato, lettuce, and 1/2lb. bacon for the topping).
Mix until mixture is evenly combined. Season with salt & pepper.
Spoon mixture into your prepared baking dish.
Bake for about 20 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
Sprinkle tomatoes, bacon, and lettuce over hot dip.
Serve immediately crackers or pita chips.
