Chocolate Oat Balls

These raw no-bake oat balls are the perfect dessert after a filling meal or as a sweet treat. Since this recipe involves no cutting or heat, this a perfect treat to make with the kiddos. Try rolling these delicious oat balls in different toppings such as sprinkles or crushed up cereal.

Makes 12 cookies


1 1/2 cups Quick-Cooking Oatmeal
1/4 cup Sugar
6T Butter
2T Cocoa Powder
1/2T Vanilla Extract
1T Coffee
Coconut flakes, as needed


Soften butter.


Cream together butter and sugar until smooth.

Add in oats, cocoa, vanilla extract, and coffee and mix well by hand until evenly combined.

Roll into balls about the size of a meatball then  roll balls in coconut flakes to decorate.


Eat immediately.


Do not use instant oatmeal packets.

You can refrigerate or freeze the oat balls if you prefer a harder consistency.

Coffee can be substituted with chocolate milk.
