Swiss Oatmeal Cookies

Swedish Chocolate Oat Cookies


These Swiss oatmeal cookies take no time to prep and bake.  Add a little frosting or chocolate to finish off the flavor of these cookies.

Makes 20 cookies


Baking sheet with parchment paper
Flour Sifter


2 sticks Butter
1 1/4 cup Sugar
1 Egg
1 3/4 cup Flour
1t Baking Powder
3T Cocoa
1 1/4 cup Oatmeal


Preheat oven to 400.

Sift together flour, baking powder, and cocoa.


Beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add egg and beat slightly to combine.

Gradually add dry ingredients to egg mixture and mix until evenly combined then stir in oatmeal.

Roll cookie dough into balls and place on baking sheet.

Lightly press each ball into a cookie shape.

Bake for about 10 minutes.


Cookies spread while baking, so do not to crowd baking pan.
